Appearance

5'8", about 125#. Fair-skinned young woman of sixteen-odd years: oval face, soft high cheekbones, straight nose, full lips with a clear cupid’s bow, lightly arched brows. Striking blue-green (teal) eyes; calm, level gaze. Long golden-blonde hair in loose waves past the shoulders, often falling forward over the breast; worn loose rather than tightly bound.

Typical dress: Deep forest-green gown with a modest V-neck, fitted bodice, and full skirt; matching green cloak or cape over the shoulders; sleeves worked with fine silver or pale embroidery. Slim dark leather belt with a large circular silver buckle; large round silver pendant on a chain at the breast, etched with knotwork (Celtic/Norse style). Thin silver circlet or diadem on the brow. Hands often clasped lightly at the waist — composed, professional carriage suited to a healer who also works the road and the field.

Background

Lisette grew up in Fulham. Her father died just after her eighth year; modest savings did not last. Her mother took work as a charwoman at the Keep while Lisette worked days as a scullery maid at the Soaring Falcon, where Samuel and Nila were kind employers. Nola taught her to read and write.

At thirteen she began serving guests; when her mother died that same year, she was given her own room off the kitchen. Samuel arranged sale of her parents' house — proceeds held by a banker until her eighteenth year.

She developed into a healer, herbalist, and alchemist. Her brother Arthur is a stablehand/groom in Fulham (Day 3). She joined the adventuring band from the Fulham/Newtown orbit and became indispensable at the compound.

Tristan committed to her (Day 6; re-pledged Day 13). She and Matthias became lovers while scouting Kranos's compound (Day 7). On Day 59 she releases Tristan after he says he signed on for Razor Claws and Kranos's compound, not windmills and tax counts, and admits boredom with estate routine and other maidens; she demands marriage or freedom and will not pursue Matthias (Day 60).

Personality

Precise, observant, and professionally detached under pressure. Flirts strategically on missions when needed (e.g., Danian-agent tavern work in later parts). Respects Miri's Gift but supplies chemistry when stealth demands it — including slow poison as backup to Miri's regicide plan (Day 20).
