Appearance¶
6'2", about 210#. Muscular, athletic build; obvious martial skill; charismatic presence. Shoulder-length, wavy golden-blond hair, parted slightly off-center with a tousled, windswept fall around the face; bright blue eyes; fair skin; light stubble forming a short beard and mustache; defined jawline; calm, direct gaze. Son of Luther (OP reference).
Typical dress: Brown leather jerkin with crossed chest straps and central emblem; chainmail sleeves over a brown tunic; leather belt with sword at hip; studded leather bracers.
Background¶
Tristan is an OP native and D&D-class Fighter who crossed with the first adventuring band. Backstory references ~thirty maidens (Day 13); uses silphium. Loyal to party and Count Matthias.
He committed to Lisette (Day 6; re-pledged Day 13) after cycles of promiscuity — including a Southham dalliance with Dari that angered Iosif (Day 5). On Day 59 Lisette releases him after he laments windmills and shepherd taxes versus sword work; she compares him unfavorably to Matthias and Milos but will not bed Matthias. Tristan moves to the Soaring Falcon (Day 60) after Matthias's half-moon counsel; Tyrone (First Mate, Wave Runner) offers Master-at-Arms—Tristan is drawn to the sea over county routine. He remains in Matthias's Company.
Personality¶
Charismatic, pleasure-seeking history tempered by pledge to Lisette. Still attracts maidens despite wounds. Urges caution on gunpowder firearms (Days 19–21); Miri agrees to go slow on guns but not mills. Seeks revenge on unknown woods ambushers (Day 21).
