Appearance¶
Brawny, just over six feet, athletic build with broad shoulders. Dark brown hair (nearly black), medium length, swept back with slight wave; dark brown eyes with a direct, intense gaze. Full, well-groomed dark brown beard and mustache. Strong jawline; stern, duty-minded expression.
Typical dress: Brown leather cuirass with metal rivets, chainmail gorget and sleeves, leather pauldrons with crossed chest straps, and practical battle gear. Carries Miri's token under his armor at tournaments (Day 32).
Background¶
Milos is an Other Place native who crossed into Nystria with the first wave of arrivals. He has known Miri and Matthias for over ten years in the OP. He came from a farming family — his uncle Sean runs a farm in the Dal Valley (Day 7 visit; Days 40–42 thug crisis).
He trains toward knighthood and is pledged to Karla (re-pledged Day 13). On Day 57 he and Karla marry secretly at the Temple of the Gods in Haven. King Edward names him Sheriff of Count Matthias's county and confers Knight of the Realm; public knighting ceremony awaits Matthias's presence (~four days from Day 58).
He disclaims traditional extramarital noble "rights" after marriage (Day 59), though Karla acknowledged them at betrothal.
Personality¶
Steady, honorable, and quietly devoted. Accepts escort duty, supply runs, and compound security without complaint. Declined Captain of the Queen's Guard (Days 18, 23, 32). Confessed impossible love for Miri (Day 32); carries her token in tournaments.
